It turns out that my testosterone wasn't high either (nurse was looking at old results). I've started the metformin anyway because these tests can fluctuate with pcos. I have to be on it for at least 3 months before doing the next transfer so it looks like it will be mid April sometime. So far I haven't had too much trouble with the tablets but I'm only on 1 a day at the moment. We're going to slowly increase the dose every 2 weeks until I'm on 3 a day. Hopefully ... I know the likelihood of getting pregnant is 1-2% then continuing to term is 50% so aware that things are very unlikely. I'm now officially PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) with one little blast safe inside me! It was so amazing to watch on the ultrasound, the embryo looked like a little white light. Out of the other 9 embryos, 7 are being frozen today, 1 is a bit behind at the morula stage still so they want to see if it makes it to blast tomorrow and they will freeze it if it does ... I called monash this morning to see how they did overnight and the scientist was extremely pleased with their progress. She said that all 10 were at the Morula stage and some of them were already turning into blastocysts which is great news. She said that none had any fragmentation which means that they should all be great quality. I'm hopeful that by tomorrow at least one will have started hatching. My transfer is at 8am tomorrow morning. I'll post again ... I'm happy with that though it's not really that many for how many follicles I had, it has me wondering if maybe I have a low egg reserve. Of the 15 collected, 11 were mature enough to be injected and 10 actually fertilised. They've still got 4 more days to continue dividing so fingers crossed that everything goes well. I'm pretty freaked out right now. My last scan on friday showed about 28 follies, around 18 of which look like they're a decent size. I had the trigger injection yesterday at 5pm so everything is set to go. I wont find out till Tuesday how many fertilised but I'm really praying that they're all good quality. I have a blood test on Monday and then I start on the synarel nasal spray!

I cant quite believe its finally happening! I am having lots of mixed feelings about everything, which of course I guess is understandable. I just wish it came with a guarantee of it working. I am worried about how I will cope with the whole process.

It all went well. The blood test showed that my hormones are down regulated and I'm all set to go! I finished the birth control pill 3 days ago and have been on the nasal spray for a while now. I'm officially feeling like crap! The nurse said to me that as soon as I start the injections, I'll feel better because at the moment all my hormones are turned off and that's why I'm feeling so blah... The plan is to start the birth control pill tomorrow (1st August), we'll continue on that until the 18th and then I'll start taking the nasal spray 2x a day as well as the pill. On the 24th of August I'll finish the pill and continue with the Syneral spray. On the 27th I go in for a blood test to check that my hormones have been down regulated.
